Plan/Process :

• Verbal process:

  • Take down unknown (completely unknown and fairly known) words split by days in a separate book, like this:

    The words in boxes require extra attention, You have now built a three-level word list to give your focus on words that truly need it.

  • Note down the definition and use the google definition derivation to understand how the word is formed :

  • Regularly test yourself on this list of hard words.

  • I planned to finish around 859 words ~27 day groups

• Quant process:

  • After about 4-5 chapters, I found the GRE quant concept series in Gregmat helpful before starting the problems in 5lb. Furthermore, these concept series have separate sheets to track what they teach.
  • Go through each chapter in the 5lb book, simultaneously taking note of tricks (hence we will call this sheet trick sheet) and suggestions. These suggestions should be generally applicable to any similar type of problem. Do also maintain an error log for each section in this same sheet, this sheet will be our source of truth for each topic.
  • Start with math strategies. Go through the trick sheet of math strategies before starting every chapter. Any formula/table to be memorised will end up in the math strategies trick sheet.
  • After finishing each chapter's problems (and noting the points), go through the concept series in GregMat. (Later on, after about 2-3 chapters I found that doing the concept series first, really helped)
  • After event chapter, I go through the respective quant mountain on gregmat+
  • And eventually, solve all the problems for that topic on gremat+

  I did not follow these two points in red, may have been useful 🤷.
